EQUIPMENT HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Equipment

The equipment supplied for hire is a Trimble X7 terrestrial laser scanner with associated accessories, including tripod, batteries, charger, controller or tablet, memory card, and transport case. All equipment remains the property of Wren 3D Mapping Solutions Ltd.

Hire Period

The hire period begins upon collection or delivery and ends when the equipment is returned and accepted by Wren 3D Mapping Solutions Ltd.

Hire Charges

Hire charges are agreed prior to hire. Payment is due before or at the start of the hire period unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where credit terms are agreed, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.

Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required prior to release of the equipment. The deposit will be returned following inspection, subject to deductions for damage, loss, late return, or missing items.

Equipment Condition

The Hirer confirms the equipment is received in good working condition unless otherwise stated. Any defects or issues must be reported within 2 hours of collection or delivery, otherwise the equipment will be deemed accepted in good condition. Equipment must be returned in the same condition, excluding normal wear and tear.

Responsibility and Risk

Risk transfers to the Hirer upon collection or delivery and remains with the Hirer until the equipment is returned and accepted. The Hirer is responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or misuse during the hire period.

Replacement and Repair

If the equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond economic repair, the Hirer is liable for the full replacement value. Repair costs resulting from misuse, negligence, or improper use will be charged to the Hirer.

Use of Equipment

The equipment must be used safely, competently, and for lawful purposes only. It must not be modified, dismantled, or sub-hired without prior written consent.

Insurance

The Hirer must ensure appropriate insurance cover is in place during the hire period and may be required to provide proof.

​

Transport and Storage

The Hirer must ensure the equipment is transported and stored securely at all times and must not be left unattended in unsecured locations or vehicles.

Late Return

If the equipment is not returned by the agreed time, additional hire charges may apply at the standard daily rate until return, unless an extension has been agreed in advance. Wren 3D Mapping Solutions Ltd reserves the right to recover the equipment and charge any reasonable associated costs.

Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled before the hire period begins, reasonable costs incurred may be retained.

​

Liability

Wren 3D Mapping Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including project delays, loss of data, or loss of business.

Ownership

All equipment remains the property of Wren 3D Mapping Solutions Ltd at all times.

​

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
